Jetzt ist der Winter in Neukölln eingefallen und das zu einer Zeit, in der die Hermannstr. praktisch gesperrt ist, meine Nebenstraße zu einer Durchfahrtstrasse wurde und dadurch Parkplätze kaum noch vorhanden sind. Nicht dass dies nicht auch zu einer Zeit des erhöhten Beratungsbedarfs im Neuköllner Jobcenter um die Ecke stattfände :D

Ich finde die Optik der Panasonic TZ10 echt klasse. in Kombination mit einem sehr guten Bildstabilisator kann mann die 300mm echt ausnutzen.

Well, 2 weeks ago I saw Devendra Banhart and I truely have to say:
This guy has all it needs to be a fantastic stage act....
The show was in a church (!) and the audience rather small. In fact one couldn't avoid to be very close near the stage.
But look (sorry for the lousy quailty)

I managed to record "Rejoicing the hands..."

Neukölln und Gentrifizierung

Zumindest im Norden von Neukölln ist Gentrifzierung immer mehr ein Thema. Immer mehr Häuser bekommen einen neuen Anstrich, in Folge eine Mieterhöhung, die v.a. durch zuziehende Studenten in WGs getragen werden.
Für die früheren Anwohner immer weniger bezahlbar......

Andrerseits steigt die Zahl der Parties und ebenso die Anzahl cooler Locations, Kneipen und Ateliers.
Nicht zu vergessen meine Lieblingseisdiele "Fräulein Frost".

Diese Kolumne beschreibt recht passend, was ich die letzten 5 Jahre hier erlebe.
Gewissermassen ist das Syndikat ein Gegenentworf seit Generationen. :D

Muse in Berlin.... O2 world

I was seeing Muse yesterday night in Berlin in the brand new O2 world, actually an icehockey stadium.
Having said this one can abviously imagine that the sound was not too good sitting in appr. 100 m height above the rest of the audience.
But have a look:

As usual Mathew and the band delivered a perfect performance. Most songs from the new CD were performed in high cubes with movies and pictures projected on them. So to me it seemed to be a bit unpersonal, mechanised........
